The Tebis solution for deep-hole drilling is suitable for all parts and machines: With special CAD/CAM strategies, it can be used on both deep-hole drilling machines with drill bushings and machining centers without drill bushings. Change of machine can be performed on short notice at any time. The easily automated preparation and NC programming functions account for machine kinematics and handle details like the required coolant pressure. With Tebis, your deep-hole drilling can take full advantage of the high machining capacity. Drilling depths of up to four meters – more than 10 times the diameter – can be achieved with high part quality.
Tebis provides you with special preparation functions that manage the relevant requirements for deep-hole drilling. The key advantage: Bores are classified in Tebis as features from the start. Features are no longer strictly CAD geometries, but rather "smart" elements that include all the relevant information for manufacturing. This enables important steps to be completely automated if desired during preparation.
Subsequent template-based CNC programming is very simple.
Automatically detect bores and deep bores and separate them from the part
Automatically extend features
Plan for collision-free manufacturing with drill bushings
Using the deep-hole drilling strategy, it is possible to set all the necessary parameters, such as limitations or material entry and exit, and control technology values. And thanks to template technology, the CNC programmer doesn’t have to worry about selecting the right settings: They simply choose the template that fits the specific machining situation and select the machining elements. The optimal machining strategy for deep-hole drilling on the selected machine is assigned automatically. You can achieve reliable 5-sided machining, if required.
You can optimize the machining operation during the simulation: Reduce the number of machining tools and adjust the predetermined tool lengths. Check and change the setup, and check the machining operation for collisions with all components. Only collision-checked NC programs are sent to the machine.
